Environmental Pest Service acquires Tropicare Pest Control – PCT

The Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) recently recognized three members of the Arrow Exterminators team who have consistently contributed to the success and advancement of the pest control industry. Director of Human Resources and Senior Vice President of Professional Development Shay Runion, Regional Vice President Brantley Russell and Vice President of Arrow University Alyson Gilleland all recognized for their outstanding achievement and leadership at Seasons 52 Restaurant. located in Dunwoody, Georgia.

In her inaugural debut, the GPCA Woman of Excellence Award 2020 went to Shay Runion. As an active member of the GPCA and a past recipient of the 2016 Women of Excellence Award from the National Pest Management Association, Runion was the perfect fit for this prestigious award. She is a strong advocate for women in the pest control industry and has shown exceptional leadership, including establishing the Georgian chapter of Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM), previously serving on the board of directors of the GPCA, past president of the GPCA, as well as continue to serve in multiple capacities in the industry.

Arrow team member Brantley Russell, who currently serves as GPCA President for the 2020-2021 term, was presented with the President’s Award by former President Garry Adams. The President’s Award is presented to an individual who has assisted and supported the President of the GPCA during his tenure. Adams described Russell as “balanced, very slow to anger, and a consummate professional for the organization. As Vice President, he has improved the association and is already skilfully leading it as President through the difficult times facing the country. ”

Alyson Gilleland received the Presidential Special Award. This award is given to an individual who has distinguished himself during the President’s tenure. Gilleland’s hard work, dedication and professionalism impacted Adams who said, “Alyson not only takes initiative, but also thinks outside the box. As co-chair of the GPCA Education Committee, she had the opportunity to bring her innovative ideas to help improve the organization and the industry as a whole.

“We are very proud of the incredible members of our team for all of their accomplishments in the industry. It is an honor to see their leadership and professionalism recognized with such well-deserved accolades, ”said Emily Thomas Kendrick, CEO of Arrow Exterminators. “Their tremendous impact and contributions to the Georgia Pest Control Association have helped us all raise the bar of professionalism and integrity within the industry as a whole. ”
